Well after alot of study and prayer I had a little time last night and changed my tranny fluid and have one question to ask. Boy you learn alot about your life when you're underneath a 3500lb. car not knowing if your 4 jack stands you bought at Wal-mart will hold your car or not. After getting a BIG torque wrench (my first) from Auto-Zone for $25.00, it's capable of 150lbs. I was able to loosen the two screws on the tranny and the tech document is correct the smell is aweful! Ya know which method I used for filling it with Redline MT-90? The good old hand pump way. But I've learned what not to do... I realized that when you start pumping not only you need to pump slow but as you're pumping the bottle as it empties gets lighter and it spilled out a little, then I realized that if I hold the bottle with my leg on my back and hold the output hose from the pump and pump with my right it was able to pump the fluid into my tranny. Here's my question, I had three 0.94 liter bottles and after an accident which spilled out about a foot length circle of fluid it almost filled it up. I am wondering if that is enough or should I wait 3-4 days for Summitracing.com to send me another liter or two of fluid so I can top it off. I put my finger in the side (passengers) hole and it was about 1/8th of an inch from filling out. I know I'm close but should I be concerned and just wait and be safe for another Redline bottle? I'll also change out the rear axle fluid too, that's why I need another liter. It takes 1.2 liters for the rear axle. Thanks to this web site, thanks to all who helped me realize that even this car does require maintenance which I can do, it's well worth the $$ and time. Besides show me any other car out there that has this much information and knowledge online as this web site does!? Awesome!! I feel alot better as far as doing things on my own with maintaining my car. Now off to cleaning my starter, checking on my alternator and figuring out my tire vibration. My car has been on the stands for a week now, I'm dying to drive it. I just fixed my cracked steering boot.
